A manganin shunt brazed with a primary wire make it very easy to connect nodes of long distance. Assisted by the spot welding technology, we make the flexible connect wire, manganin plate, and copper lug together. The multi strand cables can be brazed with manganin shunts, and enlarge the applications. The connect wire welded shunts can be easily assembled inside the meter case by screwing. The cable shunt, serve as current sensing components, can be put through the hole and work together with a toroidal current transformer.
The neutral wires (multi strand copper wires) can be welded with the EBW manganin shunts, and enlarge their applications. In some circumstances, the wire shunts can be replaced by miniature current transformers, when galvanic separation is required.
The primary wire shunt assembly is usually consists of a multi strand cable or braided copper cable, protected by fiber glass tubes or heat-shrink sleeves, spot welded by a shunt and a copper lug at two ends. The main part of such a cable shunt, which has the function is EBW shunt or pure manganin shunt, due to its low TCR value and good linerity. According to the different structures, we can make connect wire spot welded shunts or neutral wire EBW manganin shunts, both have very low TCR value and good resistance accuracy.
The primary wires’ gauge and length can be specified by customers. Assisted by the high power electron beam welding technology, we can manufacture high current shunt assembly. As the metal parts are punched by high-speed stamping machine and the insulation sleeves and multi strand wires are cutted by automatic cutting machines, we can produce these shunts for mass production at very low price.
With more than 15 years’ experience, we can design and manufacture customized wire shunts of different complicated structures, while multi strand cables’ gauge and length can be specified by end users. We can also provide EBW shunts, the main parts which have the function, as semi-products to customers.
